In addition to serving as the CEO of New Horizon Technologies Energy Services, Mr. McBride is NHT’s senior researcher in the fields of building energy consumption monitoring and energy program evaluation. Mr. McBride has over 30 years experience in energy systems analysis, energy program evaluation, energy consumption monitoring and project management. He has been the principal investigator and/or project manager for over 90 projects, research contracts and grants. In addition, Mr. McBride is the author of over 100 technical papers, reports and presentations at scientific and technical meetings. Mr. McBride’s energy projects have included collecting energy consumption data from approximately 800 residential dwellings, 1000 commercial and institutional buildings and 250 industrial and agricultural facilities.
Roger H. Lippman, Project Manager/Senior Instrumentation & Monitoring Specialist
B.S. Energy Systems, Evergreen State College, WA.
Mr. Lippman has served in numerous technical and project management positions related to end-use energy consumption and engineering since joining New Horizon Technologies predecessor in 1985. He participated in the design of site data collection procedures for Pacific Gas and Electric’s Advanced Customer Technology Test (ACT2). He played an active role in the development of short-term energy savings verification protocols for Pacific Gas and Electric. As manager of site survey and instrumentation activities for PG&E’s Commercial end-use metering project, he coordinated a team of technical specialists in measurement and design and equipment installation who were responsible for end-use studies in 47 commercial buildings. In this role, Mr. Lippman was responsible for commercial building energy surveys, site characteristic data collection, measurement plan design, field equipment installation, data verification, troubleshooting and report generation. He has installed approximately 400 remote data acquisition systems, conducted over 200 on-site energy assessments and manages New Horizon Technologies’ Seattle field office.
Charles J. Bohmer, Project Manager/Senior Instrumentation & Monitoring Specialist
B.S. Solar Engineering Technology, Colorado Tech
Mr. Bohmer is an engineer with nearly twenty years experience in the design, installation and maintenance of end-use energy consumption monitoring equipment in residential, commercial and institutional buildings. As Test Engineer for Energy Systems Laboratory at Texas A&M University, he directed the selection, calibration, testing and maintenance of equipment used in monitoring electrical and thermal energy end-use in institutional buildings. As Project Engineer for NHT, he has been responsible for the design, installation, calibration and maintenance of electrical and thermal energy monitoring systems in commercial and institutional buildings. He has completed the design and installation of end-use monitoring equipment in over 400 commercial and institutional buildings.
Gerald Johnson, Senior Instrumentation and Monitoring Engineer
B.S. Chemical Engineering, Montana State University
Mr. Johnson is experienced in energy consumption monitoring, energy management, steam/power production, energy and environmental systems analysis, process control design and cost estimation. He has over 10 years of experience in the wood products, pulp and paper industry where he served as energy manager and lead process engineer for a 600 TPD Kraft pulp mill. Mr. Johnson is a certified irrigation system energy auditor, is familiar with large motor, pump and air compressor systems and is experienced in electrical and fluid flow measurement techniques. He has audited over 150 pump irrigation systems. Recently Mr. Johnson completed the design and implementation of an irrigation energy-efficiency program for the Montana Power Company. He has also completed enterprise-wide monitoring system installations at Delmar Community College at Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University at Kingsville, eight Dallas County Government buildings in Texas and eight mental health and mental retardation facilities in Texas.
Scott D. Condit, Instrumentation & Monitoring Field Technician,
A.A. Architectural Engineering, Mesabi Community College; B.S. Imaging Engineering Technology, St. Cloud State University
Mr. Condit is experienced in energy end-use analysis, thermal metering and building retrofit installations in commercial and institutional buildings. Mr. Condit’s projects include retrofit installation and energy maintenance at 20 sites for the State of Minnesota. He has installed and maintained a large energy monitoring system for eight Dallas County government buildings. Mr. Condit has experience with electrical wiring, low voltage circuitry and the completion of electrical terminations for energy monitoring equipment.
